BPAL is too hard of a website to shop from. I can never decide and then I just don't buy anything.

If anyone would like to get rid of some BPAL goodies, comment and let me know what you got and how much. Someone did a post a few years ago and I bought some stuff and loved it.

I wanna smell pretty, friends.

Just found out my moms cousin passed away sometime this morning. She'd been in the hospital for over 5 months but had been doing better, enough so that they were supposed to be sending her to a higher functioning/less care facility today.

I don't know all of the details as my mom was only emailed about it. (Nice huh?) The other cousin didn't really say what happened nor gave any details about what Jeannie's wishes are. I called her earlier but haven't heard back yet. Looks like we may be going out to Oregon soon.

Open Up and Swallow!
There has been a fair amount of stuff going on around here recently. We made it through the 1 year mark of my dads passing. Met up with my sister, her bf and my neice and had dinner. Told a few stories, raised our glasses to dad, and just tried to...well its a bit hard to explain but we made it.

I've been sick for just over 2 months. (to be 'nice', I'll just say its in the lower GI region.) Got the runaround from my 'pain doctor' and my primary doc tried a few things and then sent me to a gastroenterologist. Saw him not too long ago and holy shit! Very thorough! He loaded me up on more meds which I wasn't too thrilled about and wants me to have more labs drawn. (I jokingly asked him if I would have any blood left after he finished rattling off all of the tests he wanted to his nurse.)

He also wanted a colonoscopy, had that done yesterday. I wasn't worried about it because I knew they knocked you out for it... well my body being what it is...I was awake for the whole damn thing. They even doubled the dose but it still didn't work. Personally, I think the nurse who put my IV in didn't get it in the right spot. Anyways, after that was over with, I got sent home with more prescriptions. Im sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!! *growls*

Trying to decide about the NiN concert. (I know... me having to think about it?!) My sister asked about it again, most likely wanting to do that for my birthday. I need to listen to the new halo a couple more times and go from there.

*smewches* I miss ya'll!

Ж-Men...but not the ones you might expect!
This week LJ Russia launched Ж-Men, a new comedy series about superheroes, inspired by the LJ communities dedicated to superheros, comics and cartoons. The title's "Ж" comes from ЖЖ, the nickname for LiveJournal in Russia.

Ж-Men's script is written by a group of LJ enthusiasts who also happen to be television professionals. Who knew? Following the premiere, five more episodes will be broadcast over the next two weeks. We hope you find the series fresh and enjoyable.

This is, of course, an experiment for LiveJournal. As always, we'd love to hear what you think!

happy birthday (I hope you don't die)
WBRU is so fucking stupid sometimes. I think if your going to have an "alt. rock anniversary" and play a song by an artist whose birthday it is today perhaps, just perhaps you shouldn't chose a song they wrote about death in celebrating their birthday.

You fucking idiots, "feed the tree" (by Belly) is about death! Of all the songs they could've chosen by Tanya Donelly ...
